Here a small concept image for a fabric pattern i'm trying to design. The theme is crying sirens and is mainly based on the sea and crying girls. Fun times in my studio i can tell you....

Here are a few pattern designs i did today. Many many more to come.
These started out from an abstract water-colour doodle which i scanned and played around with in Photoshop! I'm really pleased with the results, i just need to figure out how to apply them to products! :D

I have been a busy bee! Although my laptop has given up the ghost ( a traumatic experience for anyone) i've taken it all in my stride! I've commandeered my boyfriends laptop, got settled into my new house with a lovely new little study for me to work in and have started doing some serious work.

I've only got a few things to show at the moment. These coathangers being one of them!

Mm i LOVE the internet for this one little fact, i can find vintage beauties easily, and a whole lot of 'em to boot!
I'd like these vintage styles to influence my artwork more although at the moment its just influencing my style clothing, and it seems to be doing the same to everyone else!
However i do truely adore all the lovely items you can buy now on the high street that are also vintage-esque and so i want my designs to go that route as well. Mmmmm i want to make beautiful quality pieces! Alas, the markets swamped with such things....

Anyway! I thought i'd log some art sites i've found that give me some inspiration. Plus its a lovely excuse to procrastionate! ( Hmm after looking through my bookmarks i may just put all the lovely shops and some design influence blogs i've found, they all kinda merge together anyway!)
